The biogas plant facility is located at the ‘Mesovounia - Kalesina’ location of Sparto, Regional Unit of Amfilochia, Western Greece. The location was selected after a thorough investigation of the region. Selection was based raw material availability, and satisfying all relevant legal limitations and not impacting the environment and the broader region’s activities.
The specific plan produces biogas using mesophilic anaerobic co-digestion of organic waste and silage.
